What is a Send Route Alert link?

A link you create for a from/to route — by car or public transport — that shows whoever opens it an auto-compiled report on traffic incidents, MRT/LRT status and weather along that route, plus the route itself on a map. No account or app is needed to create or view one.

How long does a route alert link stay active?

Exactly 3 days from creation, then it is deleted automatically and the link stops working. There is no way to extend it — create a new one if you need it again.

Is the note in a route alert written by the sender?

No. SG Streets compiles it automatically at the moment the link is created, from live Road Watch traffic incidents, MRT/LRT status and weather near the route, with the time each was checked.

Can I use my current location as the starting point?

Yes. Tap the pin icon inside the From field to fill it with your current location — this asks for browser location permission the first time. You can still type a starting point instead.

What's happening along the way?

You don't need to write this — SG Streets compiles it for you from live Road Watch traffic incidents, MRT/LRT status and weather near your route, with the time each was checked, once you create the link.

Anyone with the link can view this alert — it isn't private. It's deleted automatically after 3 days. See our Privacy Policy for details.
